How To Cook Italian Sausage In The Instant Pot
Cooking Italian sausage in the Instant Pot is very simple. All you need is sausage and water!.
Add a single layer of sausage links to the Instant Pot along with 1/2 cup of water. Press the “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” button, set the timer for 15 minutes, and then close the lid and turn the valve to the “Sealing” position. When it’s done cooking, quick release (QR) the steam. Italian sausages that are perfectly cooked and tender are ready to eat!
You can either cook the sausage in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes or saute it in the Instant Pot on the “Saute” setting if you prefer a more “browned” appearance. I simply eat it as is because I am lazy and dislike taking extra steps.
If you want to prepare more than one package of sausage at once, you can do so by loading the Instant Pot to the “Max Fill” line with as much sausage as you can. The quantity of water remains the same (1/2 cup). The sausages taste just as good, but if presentation is important, be aware that when they overlap, they stick together, and when you separate them, they have odd marks on them. The layers of sausage should be separated by sheets of foil to avoid sticking.
Simply add 5 minutes to the cooking time (making a final cooking time of 20 minutes) to prepare Italian sausages from frozen. So, if you have a package of frozen sausage in your freezer, you can enjoy a delicious hot meal in less than 30 minutes!

How Long To Cook Italian Sausage In The Instant Pot?
In the Instant Pot, link style pork sausage, such as Italian sausage, brats, and other flavors, should cook for 13–15 minutes.
You can re-cook your meat in the Instant Pot for a few minutes if it doesn’t come out at the right temperature. All pork sausage, including bratwurst, Italian sausage, and all other varieties, should be fully cooked through with no pink inside.
