Working out how many days to spend in Cappadocia is tricky. You could see the highlights in two days, and in three, you could gain some additional knowledge about the area. However, if you want to see the area more thoroughly and have time for an amazing day trip, we suggest staying in Cappadocia for four days.

On the third day of your Cappadocia itinerary, visit churches carved into the rock and get up close and personal with the most breathtaking valleys.
WHERE TO STAY IN CAPPADOCIA?
Cappadocia is a large area, but we suggest you stay in Göreme. It’s a distinctive place with buildings carved out of the rock and rooftop patios overlooking nearby valleys and fairy chimneys. The town also has a ton of dining options and amenities, a lot of the best hiking trailheads are nearby, and it’s easy to get to sunset and sunrise viewpoints. By not overly aggressively marketing, it maintains a somewhat local feel even though it only serves tourists.
