Since it’s simple to prepare a double batch of homemade burger patties and freeze them for later, I always have them in my freezer. By air-frying them in the air fryer, I can prepare a meal in less than half an hour!

Ingredients:
- 4 frozen turkey burger patties
- 4 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, Swiss, etc.)
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Burger toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with olive oil.
- Arrange the frozen turkey burger patties in a single layer in the basket.
- Air fry for 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns in a skillet or toaster.
- When the burgers are done cooking, top them with cheese slices and return them to the air fryer for 1 minute to melt the cheese.
- Serve the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
Tips:

How to Make Air Fryer Frozen Turkey Burger
- Add the frozen patties to the air fryer. Mine will fit two patties at once. It’s ok if they’re touching each other.
- Air fryer at 375°F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through. If your patties are thicker, add 2 to 3 minutes.
- When done, serve with your favorite burger toppings.
- Cook time may vary with each air fryer. While my air fryer does not require preheating, yours might, so before preparing turkey burgers in the air fryer, make sure to consult your manual.
- Cooked turkey patties, stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, can keep for up to four days.
- Check the turkey burgers’ internal temperature with an instant read meat thermometer. They should reach 165°F (74°C).

How to Make Homemade Turkey Burgers
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- Two tablespoons of plain panko (the panko helps the patties retain their moisture because turkey can be dry). ).
- ½ tsp salt, or as desired
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- chopped fresh herbs of choice
In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients with a fork. Avoid overmixing. Then, shape the turkey mixture into four patties, about ½ inch thick.
Place the patties on a parchment-lined sheet pan and freeze. Once frozen, transfer the patties into a freezer-safe bag or container.
