When mixed with other ingredients, Salmon Roe can be used to make potions that can heal, give water breathing, restore magicka, and more. But harvesting those precious orange pearls can be a tricky endeavor. I’ve learned the best ways to get Salmon Roe by going on long adventures through Skyrim’s rivers and streams.

Understanding Salmon in Skyrim

Several species of salmon swim through the frigid waters of Skyrim’s lakes, rivers, and oceans. These fish journey upstream from the Sea of Ghosts to spawn in the network of waterways crisscrossing the region.
