Use fresh, high-quality salmon. Choose wild-caught salmon over farmed for best texture and flavor.
-
Make the mayo spicy to taste. Add sriracha, chili garlic sauce, or hot sauce until the desired level of heat is reached.
-
Chop the salmon small. Bite-sized 1/4 inch pieces allow the sauce to coat the salmon well.
-
Don’t overmix. Gently fold the salmon and sauce rather than vigorously stirring to keep the salmon pieces intact.
-
Chill before serving. Allowing the flavors to blend results in optimal flavor.
-
Add toppings. Garnish with extra green onion, sesame seeds, lime zest, or microgreens for freshness.
