Keeping Tradition Alive: The Sabatino’s Story

The Sabatino’s sausage story begins in Sicily, Italy, where the Sabatino family honed their craft over generations. In 1972, Jimmy Sabatino brought his treasured family recipes and sausage-stuffing techniques to America, founding Sabatino’s Sausage in Chicago, Illinois.

For over 40 years, Sabatino’s has called Chicago home. Their skilled sausage makers still use OLD WORLD methods and HAND-SELECTED spices to produce authentic, preservative-free sausage right in Chicago’s suburbs.

From Chicago to Tables Nationwide

Initially, Sabatino’s sausage was only available in the Chicagoland area. But word spread quickly about their superior sausages. Before long, Sabatino’s expanded distribution nationwide while still maintaining central sausage production in Chicago.

Today, you can find Sabatino’s Italian sausage in grocery stores across America. Major retailers like Whole Foods Costco and Safeway proudly carry Sabatino’s sausages. The company also sells online and ships frozen sausages countrywide from their Chicago headquarters.

Why Chicago?

  • Central U.S. location enables efficient distribution logistics
  • Access to high-quality meat from America’s Heartland
  • Experienced sausage makers carry on Old World techniques
  • Vibrant Italian-American community to enjoy Sabatino’s authentic cuisine

By staying true to their Chicago roots, Sabatino’s maintains exceptional sausage standards while sharing their heritage nationwide.

Bringing Italy to American Tables

For over 40 years, Sabatino’s has been bringing the flavors of Italy to American homes. Their continued success as a family-run company proves consumer appreciation for authentic, high-quality sausage.
