Grilled Steak KabobsThese Grilled Steak Kabobs are flavorful and easy to customize. The beef kabob marinade helps make them juicy and delectable.
- 2 pounds sirloin steak
- 2 large bell peppers any color
- 1 large red onion
- 8 ounces mushrooms button or cremini, washed and dried
- 1 recipe steak marinade
PREP AND MARINATE STEAK:
- Trim the steak of large pieces of fat. Doing so will cause fewer flareups and burnt edges.
- Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes and place them in a Ziploc bag or container that can be sealed.
- Shake the bag to evenly distribute the marinade after adding the steak pieces, then close the bag or container.
- Before using, marinate the steak in the refrigerator for no less than 30 minutes and no more than 4 hours.
- Allow the steak to come to room temperature for about 20 minutes after removing the steak from the marinade and discarding the marinade.
PREP GRILL & KABOBS:
- Preheat the gas grill to medium-high heat and cover.
- Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces, and depending on the size, slice the mushrooms whole or in half.
- Skewers with steak and vegetables should be threaded on them.
- Scrape the grates (ideally with a grill brush without bristles) before adding the kabobs to the grill.
- Then, soak two pieces of paper towel with vegetable oil. Oil the grill grates with the paper towel.
- Place the kabobs on the hot grill and cook them for four to five minutes on each side.
- Remove the kabobs from the grill and serve immediately.
- Use wooden skewers only after soaking them in water for at least 30 minutes.
- When handling metal skewers when grilling, use hot pads to protect your hands.
