Joining the Rewards Program

To make an account through the app, you need to (1) download it, (2) give your first and last name, (3) give a valid and active email address, (4) give your birthday, and (5) give a password. Providing a phone number is optional.

Your Account as it is related to the Rewards Program is your “Rewards Program Account”.
As soon as you make your first Qualifying Purchase (see below) and confirm your account, you will be able to earn five (5) points (“Points”) for every full dollar you spend (after any discounts but before taxes), rounded down or up for every half dollar to the nearest dollar, at any participating The Coffee Bean. For example, if you spend $6. 15 on Qualifying Purchase(s) (as defined below), you will earn thirty (30) Points; if you spend $6. 85 on Qualifying Purchase(s) (as defined below), you will earn thirty-five (35) Points. You will not earn Points for purchases of gift cards, charitable donations, delivery fees, taxes, or tips.
A “Qualifying Purchase” is a purchase of at least one dollar ($1.00).
To get Points, you have to scan the QR code that the app makes for you when you make a purchase. You can do this by pressing the “Check-In” button on the “Scan” page of the app. As long as the above sentence is true, the points you earn will be added to your Rewards Program account no later than twenty-four (24) hours after the qualifying purchase. The total number of Points you’ve earned minus the total number of Points you’ve turned into Rewards is what you can see in your Rewards Program account at any given time. This is called your “Available Point Balance.”
Points earned from the same transaction may only be posted to one (1) Rewards Program Account. All Points earned from the same purchase will be added to the Rewards Program account linked to the QR code given at the time of purchase.
