Burger night is a favorite at my house because it’s a simple meal that everyone likes, and air fryer burgers cook quickly with a speedy cleanup. In order to create a tasty and nutritious side dish, we also love to add some air-fried asparagus.
Although BBQ SAUCE is not required, it aids in caramelization and tastes great. We prefer homemade barbecue sauce.
Cook the fries in the air fryer first and set them aside if you want to serve them with your burgers. Fries should be added back to the basket and cooked at 400°F for about 3–4 minutes after the burgers are finished cooking. Alternatively, oven fries are great served with these burgers.
Press your thumb into the center of each patty to prevent it from swelling in the center during cooking for perfectly evenly cooked hamburgers.
In the Air Fryer, juicy hamburgers, cheeseburgers, or sliders result in less mess and more flavor.
BEEF We like to use fresh ground beef for our go-to hamburger recipe. The ideal amount of fat in an 80/20 blend keeps the patties juicy without letting too much grease run off. Try ground turkey for turkey burgers!.

How to make hamburgers in air fryer
These air fryer hamburgers couldn’t be easier to make. Salt, pepper, and ground beef are really the only ingredients you need!
For even cooking, divide the beef into equal portions and shape them into patties of the same size and thickness.
See the recipe card below for full instructions.
All air fryers vary, but 1/4 lb. For medium well doneness, burgers that are about 1/2 inch thick will need to cook for 7-8 minutes. If you prefer rare, medium-rare, or well-done burgers, cook for a shorter amount of time.
Cook hamburgers in an air fryer at 360 degrees to prevent them from cooking too quickly and to give them time to brown.
To ensure even cooking, flip burgers in an air fryer halfway through the cooking period.
Refer to the following temperatures to determine the desired level of doneness for your hamburgers. Rare temperature is 125 to 130 degrees F. Medium rare temperature is 130-140 degrees F. Medium well temperature is 140-150 degrees F. Well done temperature is 160-165 degrees F.
The air fryer can also be used to cook frozen hamburgers. Cook through to an internal temperature of 160 degrees, which will require an additional 5 minutes of cooking time.
These air-fried burgers can be served in a variety of ways!
