Video: Microwave Corn On The Cob

Start by completely stripping the fresh corn of its corn husks and silk. Discard. On a sizable dinner plate that can go in the microwave, add 2 tablespoons of water.

My plates are Corelle which are pretty inexpensive, long-lasting, and they can go in the microwave, dishwasher, freezer and even the oven (up to 350°F).

Put two* cobs of corn onto the plate. Top the cobs with an inverted second dinner plate.

Put the inverted plate, water, and corn cobs on a plate in the microwave. Cook in the microwave for a total of 4-5 minutes, or until the kernels are a deeper yellow and tender. Normally, I just wait 4 minutes, then I look at that point.

You can see that the cooked corn kernels have a deeper color than the raw corn if you follow the steps below and look at the image.
