Major stores from Walmart to Costco carry JBS brands
Fears of impending meat shortages increased this week after a cyberattack on the largest meat processing company in the world.
Late on Tuesday, JBS SA, a Brazilian company, stated that it had made “significant progress” in dealing with the hack and anticipated that “the vast majority” of its plants would be operating on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, grocers such as Shoprite and Fairway Markets sell JBS Certified Angus Beef brand, according to the companys store locator. The beef is also used at chain restaurants such as The Cheesecake Factory and Johnny Rockets.
Walmart confirmed to FOX Business that the recent events had no impact on the small amount it regularly carries from JBS.
In its Annual and Sustainability 2017 Report, the company noted that its global customers included McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Outback, KFC, Pizza Hut and Wendy’s.
Pilgrim’s Pride’s majority shareholder JBS declined to specify which of its 84 U S. facilities were closed Monday and Tuesday because of the attack. However, it claimed Tuesday that JBS USA and Pilgrim’s could still ship meat from almost all of its facilities.
