[The Home Depot is the sponsor of this grilled turkey post! I’ve been using their Weber Genesis II E315 grill all year and I love it so much! It would make a fantastic gift for the holidays! p. s. If you’re anything like me and think that Thanksgiving is mostly about the sides, dishes, and pie, and you could quite possibly have a plate without the turkey, then this is for you. A delicious, incredibly moist, and flavor-filled grilled turkey Buttery, herby goodness.
You guys are aware that each year we smoke and roast a turkey. They both come out beautifully, and having the two options is great for everyone.
But, this year I’m going the grill route. I’ve been employed by The Home Depot for the entire year, and I use the Weber Genesis II E315 grill, which has completely changed the game for me. There’s no turning back now that we grilled this turkey—it was about 50 times easier than using our smoker.
Not to add, it’s a great way to change up the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Without going too untraditional.
First, the turkey only took about 3 hours total. The prep is super simple. You probably already have all of the ingredients on hand.
Second, it has SO much flavor. Super smoky and delicious. As it is when you roast it in the oven, the skin is incredibly crispy and delectable. And! You can still make gravy with the drippings. If you’d like, you can even prepare the gravy directly on the grill!
I like to stuff the turkey with aromatics like onions, lemons, and herbs to boost flavor. While an amazing recipe for grilled stuffing (!!!) will be shared soon, I don’t stuff the bird with stuffing and instead fill the pan with additional aromatics and a small amount of stock.
It’s also important to use a double roasting pan that is disposable. This keeps your high-quality roasting pan from warping and discoloring on the grill and simplifies cleanup on the holiday when you have to wash the most dishes!

IT FREES UP YOUR OVEN SPACE!
Oh yes. We have just removed the dish that usually takes the longest to complete on a day when you have a million things to do at once. This will free up space for you to prepare kale gratin, sweet potato gratin, green bean casserole, and homemade Parker House rolls. Even all at once!.
Grilling your turkey is a must at this point.
It seriously blows my mind how effortless this is. It is advisable to check on the bird and your grill every 20 to 30 minutes to ensure that you don’t run out of propane. However, you’ll be set to go if you start with a full tank, and you’ll be drooling over how amazing the turkey tastes, looks, and smells!
Earlier this week, I featured my Weber Genesis II E315 grill in my kitchen gift guide. It may not fit in your kitchen, but it serves as my outdoor kitchen nonetheless. We grill everything, as you may see if you follow us on Instagram, and this grill is great. It’s easy to use and makes the process work seamlessly.
It would make such a fantastic gift for the holiday season! Especially because The Home Depot is offering free delivery for online grill orders and free assembly for in-store grill purchases! Go go go grab the Weber Genesis II E315!
Go ahead and arrange for this lovely bird to land on your table.
